I can honestly say I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy teaching each and every one of you and I hope you will continue to enjoy and be inspired by yoga. Yoga is a science that was developed in India thousands of years ago. It is the oldest system of personal development in the world, encompassing body, mind and spirit and the word Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning union; the union of body, mind and spirit. The practice of yoga is a way of balancing and harmonising the body, mind and emotions. There are many branches of yoga; raja, hatha, jnana, karma and bhakti yoga. Hatha yoga has become the most well-known and wildly practiced form of yoga today. Throughout the west Hatha Yoga incorporates the practice of asana, pranayama and relaxation.

Information:I have practised a range of styles over the last 10 years. I committed to training in hatha and vinyasa flow because these styles enable me to create tailored sessions. These are uniquely challenging and nourishing for each student or group, whatever their level of flexibility or experience with yoga. I like to keep my sessions dynamic to help students build stamina and strength, but also meditative – encouraging them to explore body-awareness and mindfulness in their own way.
My style involves lots of clear demonstration, sensitive verbal cues and hands-on assistance. This is to make sure students maintain safe alignment or to help them gain a deeper experience of a posture. Everyone comes to the mat for a different reason. Including fitness, stress and general wellbeing. So I always work with the students individual goals. But as a natural result of my sessions, all my students will enjoy a feeling of relaxation, lightness and enhanced flexibility.
